Woman Drops Off Truck for Servicing. Then Sees This

"Nobody drives Big Bertha like that. Nobody." So wrote a Mississippi woman in a Facebook post that lived up to its sassy attitude, the Clarion-Ledger reports. In her post, Penny Ivey Thompson says she dropped off her Dodge truck at a Mac Haik dealership in Flowood to be serviced, and later saw it driven down the street by a dealership technician. "That moment you see a Mac Haik employee test driving your Dodge down Lakeland Dr. TAILGATING another vehicle," Thompson writes in the post that went viral Thursday and appears to have been pulled. "I followed him to see if my truck would make it back in one piece because I know it doesn't stop on a dime and [at] this point just wanted him out of it."

Thompson followed him about two miles to Lowe's and waited 20 minutes for him to finish shopping—until she decided to simply steal her own truck, which she calls "Big Bertha," with a spare key. "Here comes ol dummy ... swinging his shopping bag," she writes of the technician, per Jalopnik. "He never looked up. He just stopped and stood in the parking lot." She drove right back to Mac Haik, where she was offered an apology if she wouldn't post on social media. Then the dealership's general manager wrote a Facebook follow-up post saying the technician had been fired. He also asked Thompson to come by for a formal apology. If she does go, she might just tell him what she wrote online: "Do not mess with my family, my animals, my money, or my truck." (More stolen cars stories.)
