ABC announced on Friday that it was renewing one of its sitcoms, pleasing everyone involved with the show except, seemingly, its star. People reports that after word got out that Fresh Off the Boat will be back for a sixth season, Constance Wu, who's been with the series since its 2015 inception, had an unexpected reaction online. "So upset right now that I'm literally crying. Ugh. F---," she tweeted. That was quickly followed by a tweet that simply read, "F---ing hell." Which may have just been random tweets about anything, except in a now-deleted tweet, Wu responded to a fan's comment that the show's renewal was "great news" with a "No it's not."

Add that to the fact that, per Variety, Wu went to the show's Instagram post about the renewal and wrote "Dislike" in the comments, and everyone has been left scratching their heads. Shortly after those posts, Wu offered (a bit) of clarification, which didn't really clarify too much. "Y'all are making a lot of assumptions about what I was saying," she posted. "And no, it's not what it's about. No it's not … what this is all about." She followed that up with more clear-cut love for the show. "Todays tweets were on the heels of rough day&were ill timed w/the news of the show," she tweeted. "Plz know, Im so grateful for FOTB renewal. I love the cast&crew. Im proud to be a part of it."
