Fans of A$AP Rocky and the president of the United States alike are up in arms over Sweden's detention of the rapper, but one in particular is in some legal trouble after allegedly threatening to literally get up in arms outside the Swedish embassy in Washington, DC. Variety reports that Rebecca Kanter has been charged with destruction of property and unlawful entry after she allegedly threatened that she was "going to blow this motherf---er up." The affidavit goes like this: Kanter dropped a bag near the embassy's door, then threw liquid from a soda bottle at it before issuing her threat. She came back the following day, per the affidavit, and screamed at embassy workers, talked about A$AP Rocky, refused to leave, and was arrested by the Secret Service.
Kanter is far from the only fan threatening Sweden. As the Local reports, others want to hit the Nordic country where it hurts, especially after President Trump tweeted that "We do so much for Sweden but it doesn't seem to work the other way around": an Ikea boycott, and allow the predictable jokes to ensue. "Let me be the first to encourage folks to boycott Ikea until A$AP Rocky is freed. Though having said that I am sure if Rocky's jail cell is anything like my bookcase he could bust out," read one typical tweet. #Boycottsweden is trending on Twitter, and the Local notes that other Swedish brands, including the likes of Absolut Vodka, Volvo, and Spotify, are also being targeted. A$AP Rocky was involved in a confrontation June 30 and has been jailed since July 3. (Read more A$AP Rocky stories.)
