On the bright side, Kevin Hart is recuperating after a death-defying car crash. But TMZ reports that he and the other two survivors are lawyering up for what looks like "a big lawsuit." Sources say the comedian/actor might be at fault because his classic 1970 Plymouth Barracuda had no airbags or safety harnesses when it plunged off Mulholland Highway in Calabasas, Calif., earlier this month. The driver—reportedly his pal Jared Black, who suffered major chest and back injuries—might also be at fault pending the outcome of a California Highway Patrol probe into the crash. Seems the company that customized Hart's 720 horsepower muscle car could also be sued for giving the vehicle a custom job without adding harnesses.

Meanwhile, TMZ reports Hart is home after 10 days in hospital, where he began recuperating from three spinal fractures that needed fusion. Sources "very close" to the performer say he's "shocked" and "grateful" to be alive after seeing pictures of the accident—which flattened the top of the car. "He really cherishes the fact that he's alive, and wants to make the most of it in every respect," says a source. "The crash had a huge impact on him." He's apparently still in pain but has a physical therapist making frequent visits. Doctors say he's expected to make a nearly full recovery. (He's already being sued over a sex tape.)
