Sometimes weddings can get a little rambunctious, but they usually don't end with the newlyweds in jail for allegedly assaulting police. That's what happened Saturday in Prescott, Arizona, authorities say: Officers responded around 9:30pm to reports of a woman in a wedding gown attempting to assault a worker at a business on "Whiskey Row," a part of town known for its bars and saloons, KTAR reports. As officers talked to the bride, 30-year-old Ashley Jordan, her new husband, 32-year-old Eric Cordova, allegedly got involved—aggressively. Then, as police were attempting to restrain him, other members of the wedding party allegedly started assaulting the officers. Two officers sustained minor injuries, the Arizona Republic reports.

Jordan and Cordova, who had wed earlier in the day, were booked into jail on charges of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct; police say Jordan pushed an officer and hit him in the face. Dustin Trout, 31, and Amos Puckett, 25, were also arrested on charges including obstruction of justice, disorderly conduct, and aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer; two other men were cited for disorderly conduct and released, the Daily Courier reports.
