Nicki Minaj wasn't bluffing when she said she'd soon walk down the aisle. The 36-year-old rapper who previously said she was retiring to start a family announced her marriage to boyfriend of one year, Kenneth "Zoo" Petty, late Monday. She shared a video showing Mr. and Mrs. mugs and matching bride and groom baseball hats in an Instagram post captioned with the date and her new name, "Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty." Her Twitter profile also reads "Mrs. Petty."
Minaj had told fans she'd be married within the next 90 days on the Aug. 12 episode of her radio show, adding, "We'll do the big wedding later." But after she deleted a tweet announcing her retirement and falsely claimed to be working with singer Adele, per CNN, some weren't sure she should be believed. This week, she referred to Petty—a 41-year-old registered sex offender convicted of attempted rape in 1995 and manslaughter in 2006—as the "Clyde to my Bonnie."
