A famous California ZIP code won't be getting any more fan mail. After just one season that didn't pull in hoped-for ratings, BH90210, the reboot of '90s hit Beverly Hills, 90210, has been canceled by Fox, per USA Today. The network confirmed the news Thursday, sending a shoutout to the seven original cast members—Brian Austin Green, Gabrielle Carteris, Ian Ziering, Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Shannen Doherty, and Tori Spelling—who came back for 90210 2.0. "Profound thanks to and respect [to the actors], who ... poured their hearts and souls into this truly inventive and nostalgic revival," Fox's statement says. "We are so proud to have reunited ... one of the network's legacy series and casts with 90210 fans across the country."

Fox was counting on those fans to bolster the six-episode series, with the intention of adding on new seasons if it did well, per Deadline. While the May trailer promoting the show and its first episode saw an ample viewership, that fervor soon died down. Deadline also notes there were several showrunner changes adding to "behind-the-scene drama." Still, the ZIP code may not be totally dead in the water: Today notes both Garth and Spelling put up cryptic social-media posts suggesting other plans are in the works. "You never know what's really going on behind the scenes! Stay tuned...," Garth tweeted, while Spelling posted on Instagram: "Stay tuned as our journey unfolds," with the hashtag #miraclesdohappen. (Original 90210 cast member Luke Perry died earlier this year of a stroke at the age of 52.)
