Firefighters Rescue Teen Who Took Chick-fil-A Dare

Give it to Addison Trent: She's a good sport. The Idaho teenager was out with friends at a Chick-fil-A on Tuesday evening when she sat in a restaurant high chair as a dare—and couldn't get back out, the East Idaho News reports. Friends tried pulling on her, had her run while stuck in the chair, told her to lie down and "shimmy" out, but no luck. Restaurant workers even gave it a shot. Finally, 45 minutes later, the fire department was called in. "When we got there, she was in high spirits but seemed a bit embarrassed," says Ammon Battalion Chief Jesse Williams. "Her friends were actively Snap-chatting and Instagramming because that’s what teenagers do."

By 11pm, firefighters were able to take apart the high chair and extricate the somewhat embarrassed teen—who's got a few bruises from the incident, her mom Liza says. "I promise you she is an amazing, smart, funny and beautiful 16-year-old girl who is accepting full responsibility for her actions," she adds. "You can't be old and wise if you have never been young and crazy!" And we know Addison's got gumption: Earlier this year, she boldly tried taking a spot from one of the returning state-champ runners on her high school's 4x400 relay team, the Jefferson Star reported in January.
