Some family gatherings are more awkward than others. The queen is gathering her brood Monday to try to sort out the mess caused by Prince Harry's decision to back away from royal responsibilities with his wife, Meghan. Both the Guardian and the BBC report that Prince Charles, Prince William, and Prince Harry will attend in person, while Meghan will dial in from Canada. Queen Elizabeth is reportedly looking for a quick, practical solution that limits damage to the monarchy. Key topics: What duties Harry and Meghan would still have and how much royal money they would receive.

Meanwhile, William and Harry issued a joint statement rejecting a "false story" about them in a newspaper. "For brothers who care so deeply about the issues surrounding mental health, the use of inflammatory language in this way is offensive and potentially harmful," says the statement, per Sky News. It does not specify what story they are talking about, but a piece in the UK Times reported they had a falling out because William "wasn't friendly towards Meghan," per the Guardian. The story also quotes William as telling a friend: “I’ve put my arm around my brother all our lives and I can’t do that any more. We’re separate entities." (More Prince Harry stories.)
