A white German shepherd's delivery of eight puppies went about as expected last week, except for the fourth one. That puppy showed up bright green, USA Today reports. "I started freaking out," said Shana Stamey, who owns Gypsy, the German shepherd. "But everybody was healthy." One comic book name sprang to mind first for the North Carolina family: "Hulk! It was lime green. He was super mad. So, yeah, he became Hulk." Others were considered, per ABC. "We thought about Gremlin — Pistachio. We call him Mr. Green sometimes." The name might have to change. Already, the puppy is "bright yellow with a hint of the green," Stamey said. In a few weeks, his coloring will be closer to David Banner's.

An official at the animal hospital said liquid from Gypsy's stomach probably stained the puppy's fur in utero. With a regimen of licking by Gypsy and baths by hospital employees, the green will be gone. Like his siblings, Hulk is healthy, and he's growing quickly—from 15.6 ounces at birth to 1 pound, 8 ounces at 6 days old. When the puppies are weaned around 8 weeks, Stamey will try to place them in adoptive homes. "If I cannot find each a home, then we will just add to our family," she said. "I love them all so much."
