A progressive rock singer claims Scientologists have poisoned his family dog—again. Cedric Bixler-Zavala, lead singer of Mars Volta and At the Drive-In, says he put down his dog this week after it ate poisoned meat tossed into the yard by Church of Scientology members, per the Hollywood Reporter. "I'm at the vet dealing with another hurt animal," he wrote on Instagram. "This is what Scientology does when you speak about the predators they protect." He's referring to accusations made by Bixler-Zavala's wife, Chrissie Carnell, that actor Danny Masterson sexually abused her when they dated in the 1990s. Other women have also accused the That 70s Show actor of sexual assault.

Bixler-Zavala, Carnell, and three other women sued the Church and Masterson in August over alleged stalking, invasion of privacy, and intentional infliction of emotional stress. Masterson calls the accusations "beyond ridiculous," but in 2017 he was dropped by UTA and fired from the Netflix show The Ranch when police said they were investigating sexual-assault claims against the Scientologist. The Church has called the claims "completely false and insane." But in his expletive-filled post, Bixler-Zavala says he has "some interesting receipts" that can tie Scientology members and sympathizers "to these rapes," per Loudwire. "This is the 2nd dog we've had to put down due to the harassment from private investigators and Scientologists," he adds. "This only makes us stronger." (More Scientology stories.)
