In Miss Americana, the new Netflix documentary on Taylor Swift that debuted at Sundance, the singer reveals that she'd battled an eating disorder. Now, one of the people seen in the trailer calling the 30-year-old star "too skinny" and eyerolling about Swift and her "model friends" being "annoying" is offering up an apology. Per ABC News, that person is comedian Nikki Glaser, who says that clip came from an interview she did five years ago and that she's actually a big Swift fan "obnoxiously obsessed" with her music, and who was "horrified" to hear herself spouting such remarks in the film "as part of a montage of asshats saying mean things about her." This explanation came via a long Instagram mea culpa she posted Friday.

"This quote should be used as an example of 'projection' in PSYCH101 textbooks," Glaser wrote, noting she herself has battled an eating disorder for nearly 20 years. "I was probably 'feeling fat' that day" when she made those comments and was "jealous," she noted. "And I was only bothered by her model friends because I'd like to be her friend and I'm not a model." She added: "I just hope this somehow gets to her so she knows I'm sorry for any pain I caused her and that I'd love to be her friend someday (when I start modeling)." Swift's response, which popped up in the comments of Glaser's post: "Wow. I appreciate this so much and one of the major themes about the doc is that we have the ability to change our opinions over time, to grow, to learn about ourselves." Swift added: "I'm so sorry to hear that you've struggled with some of the same things I've struggled with. Sending a massive hug." (More Taylor Swift stories.)
