KFC Crocs Don't Just Look Like Fried Chicken

They smell like it, too—at least until feet enter the picture

For $59.99, you can "make your dreams of wearing a bucket of chicken finally come true." That's according to Crocs, which is out with what is surely (seriously, no contest) its oddest design yet. Revealed in a fairly out-there ad released Wednesday, the KFC X Crocs Clogs feature a fried chicken print on the top and red and white stripes on the bottom, in homage to KFC's chicken bucket, per USA Today. The Crocs even smell like fried chicken, thanks to two scented but non-edible Jibbitz charms designed to look like drumsticks.

The shoes won't be released to the public until sometime this spring, though the brands chose to build the excitement during New York Fashion Week—because obviously these are "unbelievably fun and fashionable," as Crocs' senior VP Terence Reilly puts it in a release. Korean artist MLMA, who stars in the ad, paired a sky-high platform version of the Crocs with a red sequinned jumpsuit while attending shows, per Fox News. Mashable sees the shoes as the perfect gift "for anyone who's ever wanted to stick their feet in some fried chicken. For the rest of us, we'll just be over here staring out the window in a sober reflection of what life on earth has become." Supply your email address here to get a heads-up on when the shoes go on sale. (Then again, KFC is known for offering some pretty bizarre stuff.)
