No clarity, but more potential threads to follow in the case of Lori Vallow, the Idaho mother arrested in Hawaii last week in connection with the disappearance of her two children. The first thread comes via the ex-husband of Vallow's niece, who filed paperwork in an Arizona court last week in connection with his own child custody battle. In his filing, Brandon Boudreaux alleges ex-wife Melani Boudreaux knows the whereabouts of JJ Vallow, 7, and Tylee Ryan, 17, but has an "unwillingness to cooperate with law enforcement in finding those children" that Brandon finds "daunting," reports CBS 5. Melani’s "current husband has told law enforcement something to the effect that [Melani] says sometimes children are full of light and they just like that they go dark," reads his filing, which also alleges Melani is part of a cult.

CBS News separately reports by way of sources that once the snow melts in Yellowstone National Park, investigators may conduct a search there for Tylee. Court documents cite phone records that allegedly show Vallow, Tylee, JJ, and Tylee's uncle went to the park on Sept. 8, and that police allegedly have a photo of Tylee taken in the park. There's been no sign of her since. JJ was captured on Ring doorbell footage playing outside his home on Sept. 17, reports East Idaho News. He was in school on Sept. 23; that was the last known sighting of him. Vallow allegedly told school officials that she planned to homeschool the child. (Vallow's dead husband claimed she said odd things.)
