(Newser) – Joe Biden had his big night, and now President Trump has had his. He closed out the Republican National Convention Thursday night by accepting the GOP nomination from the South Lawn of the White House, where CNN notes the more than 1,500 guests mingled closely with few wearing masks. "I stand before you tonight honored by your support, proud of the extraordinary progress we have made together over the last four incredible years and brimming with confidence for the bright future we will build for America over the next four years," he said. Think of Trump's speech as the sequel to his 2016 acceptance speech, in which he memorably declared, "I alone can fix it," per NPR. (Read more Republican National Convention stories.)
