Two more members of the far-right Oath Keepers group are facing conspiracy charges in connection with the Capitol attack—and according to a federal indictment released Thursday, they had an unusual way of getting there. The indictment states that Joshua James, 33, and Roberto Minuta, 36, drove to the Capitol in an apparently stolen golf cart "at times swerving around law enforcement vehicles" in response to a call for people to join the attack. "Patriots are storming the Capitol…so we’re en route in a grand theft auto golf cart to the Capitol building right now…it’s going down guys," Minuta said, according to the indictment. Once there, they allegedly taunted law enforcement officers before storming the building wearing military gear.

James and Minuta, who were arrested in March on other charges related to the attack, are the 11th and 12th Oath Keepers charged in an alleged conspiracy to disrupt the certification of President Biden's victory, WUSA reports. Prosecutors say the two men were among three Oath Keepers members who guarded Roger Stone before they breached the Capitol, reports the Washington Post. Stone has not been charged and he says he was not involved in the riot. According to the indictment, there was "frequent and consistent communication leading up to the attack," with 19 phone calls between Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes, his deputy, and the three members over a three-hour period on Jan. 6. (Authorities say the defendants prepared for weeks before the attack.)
