After Kanye West's Instagram account was suspended Friday for antisemitic content, the rapper took his rants to Twitter. On Sunday, Twitter announced that it, too, had locked the rapper's account. Ye, as the rapper is now legally known, had been away from Twitter for almost two years when he started posting again Friday, CNN reports. Elon Musk welcomed him back to the social media network in a tweet the rapper reposted. Ye then went on what the Daily Beast calls an "antisemitic tantrum" over the restrictions on his Instagram account.

One tweet, which was later removed, read, "I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE The funny thing is I actually can’t be Anti Semitic because black people are actually Jew also You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda." Twitter did not give details, but said Ye's account had been locked due to a message violating the company's policies. Before that happened, Ye had also tweeted about cancel culture and Iranian youth revolting against dictatorship, Fox News reports.

As for the earlier Instagram controversy, the AP reports it started when fellow rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs posted an Instagram video urging people not to buy Ye's "White Lives Matter" shirt. Ye responded by suggesting Diddy was controlled by Jewish people. Ye's accounts on both Instagram and Twitter are still active, but he won't be able to post until his suspension ends. It's not clear when that might be. (More Kanye West stories.)
