A naked man fell to his death yesterday in Brooklyn after police fired a Taser at him, the New York Post reports. The man, 35-year-old Iman Morales, had been ranting on a second-story fire escape. His mother begged police not to hurt him, saying he was sick, but when Morales began waving a fluorescent light tube, officers got the order to stun him.

The Taser blast was intended to be non-lethal, but the stunned Morales fell from a ledge. “He just fell face-first,” said one witness. “People were screaming and yelling. It was wrong.” Morales ranted for about 40 minutes before he was slain, uttering phrases like, “You’re going to kill me. I’m going to take everyone with me.” He also tried to force entry into a neighbor’s apartment through the window. (More Taser stories.)
