If the first episode of Real Housewives of DC is any indication, the series probably won’t be on the White House DVR queue. Embarrassments abound, starting with the connection shown between Michele Jones—who works for the secretary of defense and supposedly told the gatecrashing Salahis she couldn’t get them in to the state dinner—and, yep, the Salahis.

Jones is shown as the guest of honor at the America’s Polo Cup tournament, organized by Michaele and Tareq, a few months before the state dinner. As if that’s not bad enough, fellow Housewife Catherine Ommaney—wife of a White House photographer—is constantly boasting about her connections to the prez and the veep. The premiere—which also features Michaele Salahi calling herself a “girl lobbyist”—airs August 5, the New York Daily News reports.
