COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Might Republican presidential hopeful Carly Fiorina be shadowing Hillary Rodham Clinton's Democratic campaign?

She says she's not. So why is she pretty much standing in Clinton's shadow?

On Wednesday, the GOP underdog spoke to the press on a sidewalk outside the Columbia, South Carolina, hotel where Clinton is addressing women's groups a bit later in the day.

And when Clinton moves on to speak to Democratic women, including state legislators, Fiorina will be addressing Republican legislators in the same city.

Fiorina's team made much of the close-proximity campaigning on the eve of the events. But the candidate denies being a copycat. She said she planned her trip weeks ago. The former Hewlett-Packard chief executive is the only woman among the notable Republican candidates and has been a persistent Clinton critic.
