BERLIN (AP) — Official figures show that German industrial production rebounded in June to grow by 0.8 percent compared with the previous month.

The performance reported Monday by the Economy Ministry was slightly better than the 0.7 percent gain that economists had forecast, although it was limited by a poor performance from the construction sector. It followed a 0.9 percent decline the previous month.

Germany has Europe's biggest economy. Figures released Friday showed a 0.4 percent month-on-month decline in factory orders in June, a drop that followed a minimal gain the previous month and was led by lower demand from other countries in the eurozone.
