LOS ANGELES (AP) — Los Angeles police say a video posted online that shows someone flash a gun while filming a police officer is an attempt at publicity from a 1990s rap group looking to spark a comeback.

Police said in a statement Tuesday that the video posted on Instagram was intended as entertainment and not a threat, but it has led to an investigation and at least one arrest.

Police say they have identified three suspects who were in the car, but they haven't released the group's name.

The video is shot from inside a car that is parked behind a police cruiser. It shows the police car, then moves to the person's lap and shows the gun. It then moves back to the police car, where it shows an officer get out and walk away.
