WILLIMANTIC, Conn. (AP) — Police in Connecticut have arrested four people while investigating a batch of synthetic marijuana that sickened about a dozen people, including five who were hospitalized.

Willimantic police say they arrested a dealer of "K2" synthetic marijuana and three buyers Tuesday. Authorities wouldn't say whether the dealer suspect they arrested sold the drug to the people who got sick Monday.

All five of the people hospitalized have been discharged. Police believe they used synthetic marijuana laced with the hallucinogenic PCP.

Thirty-nine-year-old Thomas Gasper Jr. was charged with possession of narcotics with intent to sell and other crimes. The three others were charged with narcotics possession and released.

Gasper was unavailable for comment. He's detained on $250,000 bail. It's not clear if he has lawyer.
