DELPHI, Ind. (AP) — The Latest on the investigation into the killings of two northern Indiana girls (all times local):

2:15 p.m.

A northern Indiana sheriff says a newly-released sketch of a man considered the main suspect in the February killings of two girls was drawn by an FBI sketch artist based on information from someone who saw the suspect.

Carroll County Sheriff Tobe Leazenby (tohb LEHZ'-ehn-BEE') says the witness saw the man walking around the time 14-year-old Liberty German and 13-year-old Abigail Williams were slain near their hometown of Delphi, about 60 miles (100 kilometers) northwest of Indianapolis.

The teens vanished Feb. 13 while hiking and were found dead the next day.

Leazenby says he can't discuss where the witness saw the suspect. The FBI artist completed the sketch after recently meeting with the witness.

Authorities are asking the public for tips on who the man in the sketch might be.

State police have released an artist's composite sketch of a man considered the main suspect in the killings of two northern Indiana girls.

The sketch released Monday depicts a white man with a prominent nose and a goatee who's wearing a cap and what appears to be a hooded sweater. Police said the suspect has reddish-brown hair, stands between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-10 (1.7 and 1.8 meters) and weighs between 180 and 220 pounds (82 and 100 kilograms).

Investigators are asking the public to study the man's facial features and contact them with any information on him.

Sgt. Kim Riley says the sketch that will be released Monday was created by an artist from information collected by all the agencies, including the FBI, involved in the double-murder investigation.
