Delta Air Lines says a flight headed to Los Angeles was forced to return to Atlanta because of an air duct problem.

Delta spokeswoman Kristin Baur tells the Atlanta Journal Constitution that Flight 125 left the gate at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport at 5:15 p.m. Sunday and was in the air. She says it turned around and got back to the gate about an hour and a half later.

FAA spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen says as the Boeing 767 landed, the aircraft's tail scraped the runway.

She says no debris was found on the runway and the plane taxied to to the gate without assistance.

Associated Press messages left with Delta and Bergen were not immediately returned.

Baur says the 262 passengers boarded another plane for their destination.
