Suicide bombing kills 10 outside bank in Iraq

A local official says a suicide bomber has blown himself up outside a bank in Saddam Hussein's hometown, killing 10 people and wounding about 30.

Salahuddin provincial spokesman Mohammed al-Asi says Thursday's midmorning explosion occurred outside the state-run Rafidain bank in Tikrit, located 80 miles (130 kilometers) north of Baghdad.

Al-Asi says policemen who were picking up their monthly paychecks were among the casualties.
