EDMONTON, Alberta (AP) — Jesse Joensuu scored his second goal early in the third period to break a tie in the Edmonton Oilers' 3-2 exhibition victory over the Arizona Coyotes on Wednesday night.

Joensuu beat goalie Devan Dubnyk from the slot off Steve Pinizzotto's pass from behind the net.

Benoit Pouliot also scored for the Oilers (4-2-0). Mikkel Boedker and Rob Klinkhammer scored for Arizona (4-1-2).

The Oilers took a 2-1 lead early in the second period when Pinizzotto slid the puck in front and Joensuu was able to put a quick snap shot through Dubnyk's legs.

Klinkhammer tied it with a short-handed goal midway through the period.

Ben Scrivens made 24 saves for Edmonton, and Dubnyk stopped 30 shots.
