Illegal Population to Boom if We Kill 14th Amendment

5M US-born illegal residents by 2050

(Newser) – It's commonsense math, says the author of a new illegal immigration study: If the right to citizenship for US-born children of illegal immigrants is repealed, it's not going to deter all illegal immigrants from entering the country. But it will make the children born to those who do so illegals, instead of citizens, and that will just boost the total number of illegal immigrants here. The US would be home to almost five million illegal US-born individuals by 2050 if the birthright rule is killed, predicts the study.

A conservative analyst who favors ending birthright citizenship said while he agreed the policy would not end all illegal immigration, "it will put an end to pregnant women traveling to the US specifically for the purpose of giving birth." Opponents counter that ending birthright citizenship would create a permanent underclass as illegal status in passed down through generations, reports the Wall Street Journal.

The "Immigration Rights" groups say that Americans concerned about the negative effects of the Illegals on the local governments are "racists" as they are trying to change their image in front of the Television News cameras at the demonstrations against the U.S. Immigration laws they are staging in another attempt to fool the American people: http://www.tcunation.com/profiles/blogs/changing-the-image-of

Demographics and Constitutionality aside, the moral legitimacy of anchor babies is just plain wrong and you know it - unless you're just a total open borders advocate.

close the loophole...and make the E-verify system a requirement. If illegals can't find work or a place to live here, they will self deport. In addition, the entire red tape nightmare that is the immigration laws, need to be scrapped and reworked to be more sane and easier to navigate. No problem with immigrants, just the illegal ones
