(Newser) – Mayor Bloomberg wants smokers to stay out of Central Park and parts of Times Square. The anti-tobacco mayor has proposed widening the city's smoking ban to cover parks, beaches, pedestrian plazas, and boardwalks, reports the New York Post. Scofflaws, tourist or not, would face a $50 fine under his plan, which still must be approved by the City Council. (For Bloomberg's other doings, click here.)

Bloomberg is an insane maniac. For me the US stood for freedom, but it seems to become a country of repression of innocent citizens. Greetz from Holland, Mr. Bloomberg !

Omg, that's hysterically stupid.... New Yorkers' air will be cleaner by 0.00000000000000001% as they breathe in all the exhaust fumes of all the cars stuck in traffic in that city..... rofl!
