A hatred of gays and a lack of IT savvy are likely to add up to unemployment for somebody in Sen. Saxby Chambliss' office. A commenter calling himself "Jimmy" left a post reading "all faggots must die" on popular gay blog Joe.My.God soon after a measure to repeal "don't ask don't tell" was blocked yesterday. Other readers soon traced the post back to a senate.gov IP address near the Republican's Atlanta office, Talking Points Memo reports.

"Among the fields in which gay people are over-represented is the IT field," noted blog author Joe Jervis. Chambliss confirmed that he is investigating whether one of his staffers is responsible. "We have seen the allegations and are moving quickly to understand the facts," a spokeswoman said. "This office has not and will not tolerate any activity of the sort alleged. Once we have ascertained whether these claims are true, we will take the appropriate steps." (More Saxby Chambliss stories.)
