'Bottom line is, he is crazy and could kill me'

(Newser) – Sarah Palin has been granted a restraining order against a Pennsylvania man who sent her a gun receipt and told her he was buying a one-way ticket to Alaska. Shawn Christy, 18, has been banned from contacting Palin and her family and has been ordered to stay at least a mile away from the Palin home. Palin’s friend, Kristan Cole—who Christy called this week to tell her his plane had landed in Alaska—has also been granted a protective order, the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman reports.

"Bottom line is, he is crazy and could kill me," Palin testified. "He wants me dead." The court heard that Christy—who claims to have had a sexual relationship with Palin—sent her a letter saying "he is trying to follow God but has evil in him, and that he is going to sell everything and come to Alaska with his shotgun." Christy, with his persistent efforts to contact Palin and her associates, has "risen to the top of the dozens and dozens of people" who have threatened Palin over the last couple of years, Palin's attorney told AP.

I am a member of Team Sarah, so naturally I'm angry at the previous remarks that some people made when they thought it was hilarious to read about Sarah Palin being threatened. For starters, people making these remarks are hypocritical. They would never say such things about Michelle Obama or Hillary Clinton, and they would be outraged at conservatives saying such things. All of of sudden they think they have the right to laugh about that very thing about Sarah Palin. These people saying such things really shows the true colors of political "correctness." Translated: don't you dare even challenge a liberal female politician, but you can say or even laugh about absolutely anything about conservatives; anything's fair game against conservatives in political "correctness." Thomas Jefferson, himself a liberal in his day, said for people to act right the opposite toward political rivals: we must debate rivals in a civil manner. We have forgotten what our Founding Fathers sacrificed to build in this new land. You can tell many people feel the pressure from our Founding Fathers about this kind of thing: many people do everything but deal with the issue of debating in a civil manner. They ignore it, make up lies about our Founding Fathers history, anything but deal with it. People complain about the nasty nature of politics. Many people can solve that problem to a large degree by starting with their own wagging tongues: get those tongues under control. The Bible hits dead on the target when it says "the tongue is on fire from Hell." The kinds of responses people have, laughing about stalkers wanting to kill her is a textbook case of it. So I say to those people laughing at stalkers trying to kill Sarah Palin: look in the mirror every time you complain about the nasty nature of politics, then deal with it.

While I can't say she is 100% innocent of bringing some of this down upon herself, I don't wish Palin any harm beyond losing the spotlight, and am delighted that our socialist police force and activist judges were able to stop the man threatening her before anyone got hurt. For the sake of her family, I hope they will continue to be successful at protecting her as she continues to preach the gospel of less government intrusion in people's lives and the right to bear arms without a trace of irony.

Maybe this guy just took her advise, "don't retreat, reload". I can't believe they found a picture of this witch with her mouth closed.
