(Newser) – Dennis Hopper is gone but the bitter battle between him and his widow lives on. The late actor's estate is suing Victoria Duffy for allegedly stealing valuable works of art and other property from Hopper in the final months of his life, according to court papers obtained by Radar. Hopper was involved in divorce proceedings from Victoria when he died in May.

Duffy "surreptitiously removed from my home very valuable personal property while I was extremely ill, refused to tell me where the property was when I asked her, and then left town," Hopper said in an affidavit filed not long before his death. He estimated that the stolen art, including a portrait of himself by Andy Warhol, was worth close to $1.5 million. Click here for more on Dennis Hopper.
