An Iranian man convicted of robbing a candy store will have his hand cut off as punishment, reports the BBC, citing local media. Police found $900, gloves, and what the BBC describes as “a large amount of chocolate” in his car before arresting him. Typically, amputations are used as punishment for habitual thieves. This man was also sentenced to a year in prison.
