O'Donnell Has Trouble Naming Democratic Senators

But GOP hopeful is a big Hillary Clinton fan

(Newser) – Christine O’Donnell seemed stymied when asked during last night's debate to name a Democratic senator she’d feel comfortable working with. She gave two names—but neither is currently a Democratic senator. First she mentioned Hillary Clinton, acknowledging “she’s not a senator any more.” Then she interrupted opponent Chris Coons’ critical response by citing Joe Lieberman, who is now an independent.

This isn’t the first time O’Donnell has displayed her admiration for Clinton, the Huffington Post notes. “I've gotten a lot of flak from Republicans for saying that I admire Hillary Clinton. I'm not saying I endorse all of her policies. But she's a strong woman operating in a man's world,” she said earlier this month. The Delaware senate hopeful has also said she’d like Clinton’s endorsement. (Click here for a previous O'Donnell gaffe.)

Labeling Christine "dumb and ignorant" makes you feel secure, warm & fuzzy? Try again with an open mind - here's debate video you haven't seen: http://www.mrc.org/biasalert/2010/20101021024521.aspx

I used to rate O'Donnell stories are "scary," but now that a variety of people are questioning her fitness to do, well, ANYTHING, I rate all the stories about her "hilarious." Did you hear the interview wherein she didn't know the contents of the first amendment. I swear, she could never pass a citizenship test. We should REQUIRE that for holding office -- candidates should have to pass the same test that foreigners have to pass in order to become citizens by the same percentage. How ridiculous that people think Arnold Schwarzenegger should never be president just because he was born in Austria, while they will happily consider poorly-educated American-born idiots for important political posts.
