Jon Stewart busted out the boxing gear for last night’s Daily Show, where he took criticism (via video clips) from Keith Olbermann, Rachel Maddow, and Bill Maher for his Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear. Their anger at Stewart—for, as Olbermann put it, creating “a false equivalence between what we do here and what Fox News and the like do there”—inspired Jon to consider holding another rally this weekend.

Its name: “The Rally to Determine Precisely the Percentage of Blame to Be Doled Out to the Left and the Right for Our Problems Because We All Know the Only Thing That Matters Is That the Other Guys Are Worse Than We Are and/or Fear.” Seriously, Stewart concluded, “I do think the rally was about something, just not necessarily what they wanted it to be about … but I’m sure we’ll all have a chance to clarify it on each other’s programs for the next 10 years.” Click here for more Stewart.
