(Newser) Travel + Leisure put together its annual America’s Favorite Cities survey, of which arguably the most interesting category is the American cities that boast the most attractive—and least attractive—residents. Click through the top five in each category in the gallery, or click here for more.

No. 1 Most Attractive: Charleston, South Carolina. Charlestonians also rank second for sense of style and land high in the categories for friendliness and intelligence.   (AP Photo/Charleston Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, FILE)
No. 2 Most Attractive: San Diego. The city, which maintains its No. 2 ranking from last year's list, also ranks second when it comes to most athletic citizens.   (Getty Images)
No. 3 Most Attractive: Savannah, Georgia. It also ranked No. 2 in a number of other positive categories.   (Getty Images)
No. 4 Most Attractive: Miami. Floridians rank near the bottom for both friendliness and intelligence, but came in high for athletic citizens and sense of style.   (AP Photo/Alan Diaz)
No. 5 Most Attractive: Salt Lake City. Utah also makes it into the top 10 for being physically active, friendly, and intelligent.   (AP Photo/Douglas C. Pizac)
No. 1 Least Attractive: Memphis. Graceland is not enough to save this city in the attractiveness category, but it does rank No. 1 for good barbecue.   (AP Photo/Mark Humphrey)
No. 2 Least Attractive: Baltimore. It also ranked low for people-watching, public parks, and safety.   (Getty Images)
No. 3 Least Attractive: Philadelphia. Hey, it's better than dead last, which is where this city has finished the past three years.   (?javYliz)
No. 4 Least Attractive: Anchorage. It also ranked in last place for style, probably thanks to all the snow gear its residents have to wear.   (Getty Images)
No. 5 Least Attractive: Orlando. Apparently, not that many hot people go to Disney World.   (AP Photo/Walt Disney World, David Roark)
