(Newser) – Nintendo’s trying to trademark “It’s on like Donkey Kong”—so we need a new video-game based catchphrase. Contenders from Unplggd:

  • I Got Mario Karted: Someone’s beaten you at the last minute, which often happens in Mario Kart. Example: “I almost got with this girl/guy, but then my friend Mario Karted me by buying her/him a drink!”

  • Let’s Mario Flute: Let’s get out of here quickly, as when Mario warps through Super Mario Bros. 3 with a flute. Example: “This bar is boring. Let’s Mario Flute!”
  • The Princess Is in Another Castle: You worked hard but ultimately failed, as in Super Mario Bros. when you conquer a castle only to find a Toad. Example: “I spent three weeks on the project, but the princess was in another castle.”

Eh, I will just play games instead of using their phrases or possibly wear it on a shirt instead.
