(Newser) – If Black Friday wasn't enough for you, and Cyber Monday seems just too far away, say hello to Cyber Sunday, reports MSNBC. While one Best Buy marketing honcho thinks Cyber Monday remains a "really viable marketing concept," chains including his are getting an early start today, seeking to spike online sales before people go back to work. "The big treat is what happens on Cyber Sunday for those retailers who give those deals."

Retailers are trying to extend the doorbuster mentality, with Amazon extending its Black Friday deals all week, while Target and eBay are running daily deals through December. But even with deals running before and after Cyber Monday, nine out of 10 retailers are planning promotions for tomorrow—up from three-quarters in 2007.
