FBI: Pedophiles Might Like the New Barbie Because she's got a video camera built into her necklace By John Johnson, Newser Staff Posted Dec 4, 2010 3:58 PM CST 19 comments Comments Barbie Video Girl Doll is shown at the American International Toy Fair in February. (AP Photo/Mark Lennihan) (Newser) – Mattel's got to be thrilled with this FBI warning inadvertently made public amid holiday shopping season: "Law enforcement is encouraged to be aware of unconventional avenues for possible production and possession of child pornography, such as the Barbie Video Girl," said the alert sent to investigators. The $50 doll—a nominee for a 2011 Toy of the Year Award, no less—has a video camera built into Barbie's necklace and an LCD screen on her back, reports AOL News. The feds are worried that pedophiles could give the doll to girls and have it secretly film them. The clips can be uploaded to a computer.
