Bristol Slams Margaret Cho for DWTS Claims

No one forced her to do the show, she insists

(Newser) – Bristol Palin decided to compete on Dancing With the Stars because she wanted to try something new—and, she writes on Facebook, because she thought it would be good exercise. "Notably absent from this calculus were political considerations," she says in a post that refutes fellow contestant Margaret Cho's recent claim that Sarah forced her daughter to do the show. "Let me shamelessly steal from Saturday Night Live," Bristol continues. "'Really, Margaret? Really?'"

She gives Cho points "for getting so many 'facts' wrong in so few sentences," insisting that she alone was responsible for the decision—and adding that her mom doesn't blame her, as Cho claimed, "for anything that occurred in the 2008 election—much less 'harshly' and 'openly.'" She ends with the request that her "friend" not rely on "'sources' who claim to know me or my family. You will be taken every time." Click here for more on Cho's original claims.

Why do I want to set the record straight? Because it is this type of hurtful and false narrative that people promote to make my mom look bad. For 20 years my mom had my back—and for the rest of my life I will have hers.

Who in hell is Margaret Cho? She doesn't sound like a comedian, she sounds like an angry elf.

Why is there so much anger from all the "comedians"? It seems that these comics are trying to rejuvenate their failing careers by demeaning others. The best comedians could win merit with their wit rather than vehemence.

Couldn't agree more.......... that Bristol, Bristol, Bristol, Bristol, Bristol, Bristol, Bristol, Bristol, Bristol, Bristol, Bristol, Bristol, Bristol, Bristol, Bristol, Bristol, Bristol, Bristol, Bristol, Bristol, Bristol, Bristol, Bristol, Bristol, Bristol, Bristol, Bristol, Bristol, Bristol, Bristol, Bristol, Bristol, Bristol, Bristol, Bristol, Bristol, Bristol, Bristol, Bristol,.........................Geez Lousie, can we just get this Beach Ball out of the headlines already?? It's quite obvious she didn't write the rebutt -- her comments in the People Rag, about what it would mean to win DWTS..................."it would be one great, middle finger salute to all the people that hate my mom." Now isn't that more her speed? F%&* $#@ It's one thing for these B'Line Entertainers to egg her on, and another for Newser and others to publish all their Facebook rants. What idiots we are :-D
