(Newser) – It seems Seattle is a town that's serious about its football: Seahawks fans jumped to their feet Saturday night during Marshawn Lynch's electrifying 67-yard touchdown run, which clinched the win over reigning Super Bowl champs the New Orleans Saints—and their screaming and stomping caused a small earthquake. A nearby seismometer registered energy in line with a 1- or 2-magnitude quake. "The stands were shaking," said the director of the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network. "You probably would have felt it very easily if you were outside the stadium."

I am a bit confused on the following "win over reigning Super Bowl champs the New Orleans Saints". That was 2010.

Something about the Seattle area; Husky Stadium is known to shake as if an earthquake has hit.
