Three teenage boys have been shot and killed in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, authorities revealed yesterday, and at least two of them were US high school students in Texas. The boys were killed Saturday afternoon while browsing a car dealership, the AP reports. One was found inside a white Jeep Cherokee, while the others were lying in the courtyard, the scene surrounded by some 60 bullet casings.
So far, police don’t have any clue as to the motive behind the killings. All three boys lived in Mexico, but two were US citizens. One, Carlos Mario Gonzalez Bermudez, 16, commuted to a private Catholic school in El Paso. The other, Juan Carlos Echeverri, 15, left the same school last year to study in Ciudad Juarez. The school, which is comprised of 20% Ciudad Juarez residents, plans to hold a rosary service for Gonzalez Bermudez later this week.
