(Newser) – Sad news from an acclaimed family of classical musicians: Keith Brown, father of the five Juilliard-trained members of The 5 Browns, has been accused of sexually abusing his three daughters. A family spokesperson confirms the sexual abuse case involves Desirae, 32, Deondra, 30, and Melody, 26, who make up the piano group along with their two brothers. The incidents allegedly occurred between 1990 and 1992 as well as between 1997 and 1998 in Utah; Brown faces one count of sodomy on a child and two counts of sexual abuse of a child.

The Brown children severed their professional connection to their father, who was once their manager, in 2008. The 5 Browns have enjoyed critical and popular success, and have appeared on Oprah, The View, and 60 Minutes. Days after court records were filed, Brown and wife Lisa were injured in a car crash after a Valentine's Day dinner at a ski resort, the AP reports. Their children visited their parents, and the family rep says they are hopeful their recoveries will be speedy.

I was confused when reading this story............Not only is this story weird with the car crash and visiting both parents in the hospital. I'm trying to figure how Scott Brown is involved in all of this ;)

In the 60s there were some rat experiments done on overcrowding. At a certain point of overcrowding the rats began to exhibit bizarre, un-ratlike behavior. They killed and ate their young, killed and ate their peers, starved their young, urinated and defecated on one another. I wonder if we've reached that point now? It seems that everywhere there is violence toward the young by parents and others.
