Gotta Pee? Then You'll Likely Make Better Decisions Those with full bladders apparently exercise better self-control By Evann Gastaldo, Newser Staff Posted Mar 5, 2011 4:42 PM CST 5 comments Comments Drink a lot of this and you'll probably make better decisions, a new study shows. (©dsearls) (Newser) – If you're going to make an important decision in the near future, you might want to drink a lot of water first. A new study shows that people who really, really have to pee actually make better long-term decisions, the Atlantic Wire reports. Study participants either drank a lot of water or just a little, then answered questions comparing short-term rewards (for instance, a $16 handout tomorrow) and long-term rewards (or a $30 handout in 35 days). Those who had a full bladder were more likely to hold out for the bigger reward, according to the press release.
