Parker Shines as Spurs Cruise Past Hornets

Raptors edge Sixers, Knicks fall to Orlando, Celtics crush Hawks

(Newser) – Tony Parker's 27 points and eight assists helped San Antonio triumph over the Hornets last night, 97-85. Parker, who scored 11 of San Antonio's opening 21, was helped by Tim Duncan's 24 points and twelve rebounds, and Manu Ginobili's 14, including eight in a decisive third quarter surge. Elsewhere in the NBA last night:

  • Charlotte overcame the Pacers 96-87, behind Emeka Okafor's second career 20 point-20 rebound game
  • Toronto edged out Philly 105-103, to put a stop to their three-game losing streak
  • Orlando beat New York 112-102 to complete a four-game winning streak on the road
  • Denver blew out the Wizards 118-92, keeping Washington winless
  • Kevin Garnett's 27 pushed Boston past Atlanta 106-83
