(Newser) – The death toll continues to rise in the wake of Japan's massive earthquake, and police say between 200 and 300 bodies have been found in the coastal city of Sendai. Another 88 have been confirmed dead and 349 are missing, the AP reports. More than 50 aftershocks went on for hours after the quake, with many at a magnitude of more than 6.0. In addition to a 23-foot tsunami and widespread fires burning out of control, the earthquake has also spawned fears over a nuclear power plant that was unable to cool its reactor. Thousands living near the plant were ordered to evacuate. Click for full coverage, including scenes of the devastation.
