(Newser) – In a video that Gawker and Jezebel call racist and a UCLA spokesperson calls “repugnant,” a woman who claims to be a UCLA student rants about Asian students and their lack of “manners” while using the library. In one charming moment, she impersonates an Asian student talking on the phone (“ching chong ling long ting tong”); in another, she complains that “they're going through their whole families, just checking on everybody from the tsunami thing.”

Gawker notes that the original video was removed but quickly reposted on other YouTube accounts; Jezebel adds that some are wondering whether the whole thing is a joke, although “it’s not at all funny.” The university hasn’t determined whether the woman in the video is actually a student, the Daily Bruin reports.
