Plastic in Meatballs Prompts Lean Cuisine Recall

Company doesn't think many boxes were affected

(Newser) – At least it's not salmonella: Lean Cuisine issued a recall today because some of its meatballs might have a little red plastic in them, reports the Healthland blog at Time. Parent company Nestlé recalled Spaghetti With Meatballs in the Simple Favorites line with the production code 0298595519 P. Nestlé didn't explain what happened but says it likely affected relatively few boxes during an hour of production last year. The company announcement is here.

What? Plastic was the most flavorful ingredient in my Lean Cuisine Meal! I guess I will have to use the cardboard container and add salt...
