Drizzle and disbelief filled the air for most of the San Diego Chargers's 23-21 defeat of the Indianapolis Colts, the Indianapolis Star reports. Peyton Manning threw a career-worst six interceptions, yet managed to dig his team out of a 23-0 hole, only to be foiled when one of the most reliable right feet in football shanked a 29-yard field goal.

Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri just as uncharacteristically missed another kick earlier in the game. The Chargers didn't play as well as the score would indicate, however:  the offense only put together 91 yards rushing and 86 yards passing. The nine-turnover game was "the weirdest I've ever been involved in," said Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers. (More NFL stories.)
