Fox Torqued By Clinton-Gates 'Diss'

Of course, secretaries skipped CNN, too

(Newser) – Hillary Clinton and Robert Gates were talking up Libya on the talk show circuit today—except on Fox, and don't you think that host Chris Wallace didn't notice, reports Politico. “Of course we wanted to get the White House view on Libya,” Wallace told his viewers. “However, they chose to offer (Clinton) and (Gates) to ABC, CBS, and NBC.” And despite his show's ratings, "the Obama team felt no need to explain to the millions of you who watch this program and Fox News why they have sent US servicemen and women into combat,” he added. “We thought you’d like to know.” To be fair, notes Mediaite, the secretaries weren't on CNN, either. Wallace instead turned his wrath on Newt Gingrich's personal life. Elsewhere, outside the Beltway sandbox:

This is pretty funny. Who wants to go on Fox only to be constantly interrupted by a rude a-hole "entertainer" with an agenda who is masquerading as a "newsman." They should have sent Bill Clinton instead. I watched the U-tube "interview" between President Clinton and Chris Wallace yesterday and almost died laughing. Clinton tore Wallace such a new anal opening that he probably required surgery. Clinton told it like it is, he said, "Look, you asked me to interview about (Global warming?) and intended all along to try and blame me for 9-11 and for not killing Osama Bin Laden. Clinton was backed up by Republican cabinet member Richard Clark, who served in the Reagan and Bush 1 administrations. Clinton kept Clark, because he was the foremost expert on terrorism and Bin Laden in the country. Clark exposed Bush/Cheney for lying and trying to pin the blame on someone else for the phony WMD excuse to go to war. Clark told Bush there WERE NO WMD'S in Iraq, but Bush and Cheney turned a deaf ear to Clark, to the FBI and Cia intelligence, etc. because, as Rumsfeld said, "There are no hard targets in Afghanistan." Clinton also mentioned that he had republicans in key cabinet positions, such as Bill Cohen, Colin Powell and Clark, which republicans NEVER do. Someday, people will figure out that Fox isn't about far right ideology, or phony "family values", but is really about making MONEY and lots of it, no matter how they corrupt, twist, distort, and OMIT the "news." I'm surprised Wallace would call Gingrich on the carpet, but all that means is that Rupert Murdoch doesn't want Newt to be president. Nobody mentioned Reagan's divorce from Jane Wyman, because of his affair with Nancy, which resulted in an out of wedlock pregnancy. And then there were the 8 republican leaders, floor managers, etc. with their torches, bibles, and pitchforks in hand who were exposed by Larry Flynt for their adultery, including Henry Hyde who brushed it off as a "youthful tryst" (in his mid 50's, which broke up a marriage), Bob Livingston, who resigned his seat in embarrasment, and many others, who were all throwing stones at Clinton when they were either having affairs at the same time, or had done so in the past. Tom Delay was such a snake, he could make up for 10 other hypocrytes sins, and, despite his exposure for frequenting New Orleans prostitutes, Louisiana elected David Vitter by a wide margin. Where was Fox when the Vitter hit the fan? And let's not forget "toe tapping" Sen. Larry Craig and his restroom escapades. I could go on and on, but it would take way too much space.

"“Of course we wanted to get the White House view on Libya,” Wallace told his viewers. “However, they chose to offer (Clinton) and (Gates) to ABC, CBS, and NBC.” If only there was some way to make the TV go to other channels! But no. It's impossible. We'll never know what was said.
